Wicomico Rec Offering Basketball Camps This Summer
Wicomico County, MD - Young athletes in Wicomico County have some great options this summer. Wicomico Recreation and Parks is offering several basketball camps focused on skill building, teamwork, and helping players understand the game better. Whether your child is just starting out or already has some experience on the court, there is a camp worth checking out. Little Tots Basketball Camp The Little Tots camp is free and runs August 4 through 6 at the Wicomico Civic Center. It is designed for children ages 4 to 6 and introduces the basics of basketball in a fun setting. This one is a great option for parents looking to get their youngest kids active this summer without any cost. Crossover Basketball Skills Camp The Crossover camp runs August 3 through 7 at the Wicomico Civic Center and is open to boys and girls of all skill levels. Participants will learn from Chris Agoglia, head coach and founder of the Crossover Basketball program. The cost is $75 per participant and includes a t-shirt. HoopHers Summer Camp HoopHers Summer Camp runs August 3 through 7 at the Wicomico Civic Center and is open to girls of all skill levels. The camp focuses on mechanics, skills, and court awareness in a safe and supportive environment. Registration is $60 per participant. HoopHers Academy HoopHers Academy is a free outdoor clinic series for girls running July 21 through August 6 at The Courts at Harmon Field. Players will work on skill development and gameplay throughout the series. The program wraps up with an end-of-session playoff tournament. You can also register in person at the Wicomico Civic Center box office, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
