Queen Anne's County, MD - A Queen Anne's County woman was arrested at the Queenstown Outlets on May 15, 2026, after deputies linked her to thefts at multiple stores through surveillance footage.

The incident began around 3:12 p.m. when deputies responded to a theft report at the Sunglass Hut. A witness provided a description of a suspect vehicle, and deputies located it in the parking lot. They noticed new clothing sitting in the back seat.

As deputies watched the vehicle, a woman later identified as Amani Tabron was seen leaving the Gap store and walking toward the car. Deputies approached her and made contact. Tabron admitted to being inside Sunglass Hut but denied taking anything.

While speaking with Tabron, an Under Armour employee approached deputies and reported a separate theft. The employee said the suspect matched Tabron's description.

Deputies reviewed surveillance footage from several stores as part of their investigation. The footage positively identified Tabron stealing merchandise from Carter's, Under Armour, and Gap.

She was placed under arrest and her vehicle was towed.

Investigators later determined that Tabron was not connected to the original theft call at Sunglass Hut.

A search of Tabron and her vehicle turned up more than $650 worth of stolen merchandise from Queenstown Outlet stores. Deputies also recovered a security tag removal device.

Additional merchandise valued at approximately $1,100 was found and is believed to have come from stores outside of Queen Anne's County. That merchandise was seized pending proof of purchase.

Tabron faces the following charges:

-Theft $100 to under $1,500 (3 counts)
-Theft Scheme $100 to under $1,500
