Women Supporting Women Welcomes New Events Coordinator Shakeera Reid

Salisbury, MD - Women Supporting Women (WSW) has a new face helping plan and organize events across Delmarva. The Salisbury-based nonprofit recently welcomed Shakeera Reid as its newest Events Coordinator.

In her new role, Shakeera will help plan and carry out events that support WSW's mission of providing education, support, and resources to individuals, families, and caregivers impacted by breast cancer. She'll work alongside staff, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners to put together experiences that raise awareness and bring people together.

For Shakeera, this role is personal. She has witnessed firsthand how breast cancer can affect someone's life, and that experience is a big part of what drew her to WSW. She's ready to put that passion to work for the community.

"She is excited to help develop events that not only raise critical funds but also create lasting impact and treasured memories for those served by Women Supporting Women," according to WSW.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Shakeera has a knack for connecting with people and thinking creatively. She enjoys storytelling as a way to inspire others, and she brings that same energy to her work at WSW. She's also excited to be part of a local, grassroots organization that makes a real difference for Survivors on the Eastern Shore.

WSW says they are thrilled to have her on board and can't wait to see the impact she makes, both within the organization and across the Delmarva community.
