Wrong-Way Driver Stop Leads to Drug Charge in Cambridge
Cambridge, MD - On September 9, 2026 at approximately 8:14 p.m., Cambridge Police Department (CPD) officers on patrol near Park Lane and Willis St observed a vehicle traveling the wrong direction in the 800 block of Park Lane.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near Saunders Ave and Fairmont Ave.
Officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Basheer Ibn-Rakim Bradshaw, 29, of Baltimore, MD.
During the stop, a CPD K9 Unit was requested to the scene. A K9 sniff was conducted on the vehicle and resulted in a positive alert for the presence of a controlled substance.
Officers told Bradshaw about the alert. Bradshaw told officers there were "E-Pills" in the vehicle.
Officers then searched the vehicle and found Ecstasy inside the glovebox. Bradshaw was issued a criminal citation and released on a charge of CDS Possession Not Cannabis.
