LAUREL POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATING THURSDAY AFTERNOON SHOOTING AT HOLLYBROOK APARTMENTS

LAUREL, DE - On February 22, 2024, the Laurel Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Hollybrook Apartments. 

Units were dispatched to Discount Land Road, in front of Hollybrook Apartments, following multiple calls reporting hearing shots fired from a vehicle.

The responding units discovered substantial evidence pointing to a shooting, confirming the initial reports. 

As a result, the area is currently cordoned off as the investigation continues, with a heightened police presence patrolling the vicinity.

Early findings from the investigation revealed at least two black males are considered suspects. The two, who remain at large, are believed to have fired multiple rounds from a silver 2015 Kia Forte

The said vehicle, a primary piece of evidence, has been located.

Surveillance photos have captured images of the two suspects. The Laurel Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying these individuals. 

Anyone with information about the incident or the identities of the pictured individuals is urged to get in touch with the Laurel Police Department. 

As the investigation continues, community members are advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. The swift resolution to this alarming incident relies heavily on the joint efforts of both the police department and the public.

Update 4:42 PM - The vehicle was located by Milford Police officers, who conducted a traffic stop and had multiple subjects flee from the vehicle. Five subjects are currently in custody, one is still at large. Milford PD, Delaware State Police, Laurel PD K9, and police aviation are continuing to search the area in Milford.
