Georgetown Man Arrested for Lewes Georgetown Hwy Shooting
GEORGETOWN, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested 18-year-old Jedidiah Dorman of Georgetown in connection with a shooting that occurred in November.
The investigation began on November 19, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., when troopers were dispatched to the 22000 block of Lewes Georgetown Highway for a report of a residence struck by gunfire.
The preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown number of shots were fired at the home. Two adults were inside at the time of the incident, but neither was injured.
Through their investigation, detectives identified Dorman as the suspect.
On December 1, 2025, Dorman surrendered to authorities at Troop 4. He was charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, two counts of Reckless Endangering First Degree, and Criminal Mischief Under $1000.
Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Dorman was released on a $15,000 unsecured bond.
