MILFORD POLICE LOCATE SUSPECT VEHICLE AND SUSPECTS IN LAUREL DELAWARE SHOOTING

Milford, DE - On February 22, 2024, the Milford Police Department received a request for assistance from the Laurel Police Department following a shooting in Laurel, Delaware

The vehicle involved in the incident, a silver Kia Forte, had a Milford, Delaware address linked to the vehicle.  This vehicle was the primary focus of the search.

The vehicle was located by patrol officers at the BP gas station, located in the 600 block of NW Front St in Milford, DE. Upon making contact, two individuals fled in a southeast direction from the scene.

In a collaborative effort, patrol officers successfully detained three individuals at the scene.  The vehicle was seized by the Laurel Police Department for further investigations. 

The joint forces of the Milford Police Department, Laurel Police Department, and Delaware State Police (Patrol & Aviation) launched a search for the individuals who had fled the scene.

Their efforts proved successful when officers were able to locate and detain one of the fleeing suspects. The detained individuals were subsequently handed over to the Laurel Police Department, for questioning and processing.
