Pohanka Automotive's "Pay It Forward" Program Reaches $1 Million in Donations
SALISBURY, MD - A local automobile dealership is making a significant impact in the community, having donated a remarkable $1 million back to the Eastern Shore community!
Leading this initiative is Mrs. Sandy Angello, the newly elected Chairwoman of Industry Relations for NADA and the owner of Pohanka Automotive.
The most recent donations were prompted by a heartfelt letter from a local school, highlighting the dire need for basic necessities like coats, gloves, hats, and warm clothing for children who reside right here on the shore.
The Pohanka staff responded generously. Under the leadership of Mrs. Angello, who truly embodied the spirit of giving this season, the team came together to make a difference.
Mrs. Claus-and her elves, including General Sales Manager Will Toadvine, Sales Managers Tim Abell and Rob Hall, Commercial Director Eddie Cherrix, along with the rest of the Pohanka Automotive staff-went shopping for coats, hats, gloves, and warm clothing.
With over 250 pieces of clothing donated, they were able to directly impact the lives of children in our community.
Several staff members returned from delivering the special gifts with tears of joy, moved by the profound impact they had made, and now know the feeling that Mrs. Sandy Angello feels when she opens her heart to the community, by giving back over the years!
In addition to their holiday donations, Mrs. Sandy Angello and the staff at Pohanka Automotive have been strong supporters of various community initiatives initiated by Eastern Shore Undercover, including law enforcement fundraisers, community benefit events, and K-9 vest programs, among others.
With their total donations now reaching $1 million dollars, Mrs. Angello and the folks at Pohanka Automotive continue to give back to this amazing community, and touch the lives of those in need.
