Police Investigating International Transgender Symbol Spray Painted on Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School

EASTON, MD - On Friday, September 5, 2025, Easton Police were dispatched to Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School after receiving a report of malicious destruction of property. The incident occurred at approximately 7:58 a.m. at the school, which is located at 900 High Street in Easton, Maryland.


Upon arrival, officers were shown several areas where the International Transgender symbol had been spray-painted on school property. The same symbol was also found on a fence at the nearby Hampton Inn, on two stop signs, and on the exterior wall of a building at the intersection of Dover and Higgins Street.


Authorities have stated that no information or evidence has been discovered that threatens harm to members of the school or the community. However, investigators are treating the matter with diligence.


In response, the Easton Police Department and the Talbot County Sheriff's Office are coordinating extra efforts to monitor the school campus.
