Wicomico County, MD - On February 11, 2026, Terrance Terrone White, Jr. was sentenced in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. The 35-year-old resident of Salisbury, Maryland, appeared before the Honorable Judge M. Maciarello.

White received a total sentence of fifteen years in prison, with five years suspended. Five years of this term is a mandatory minimum sentence which must be served in its entirety.

White was convicted by a jury in November of 2025 on two counts of Illegal Possession of a Regulated Firearm and one count of Firearm Straw Purchase. Following his release from the Department of Corrections, he will be placed on supervised probation for a period of three years.

The conviction stems from events that occurred on November 16, 2024. White sold a firearm to Dequan Bratten, who subsequently shot his estranged wife four times on the same day.

The victim survived the injuries. Evidence presented at trial indicated that White provided ammunition to Bratten and instructed him on the firearm's usage. It was further indicated that White was aware of Bratten's intentions regarding the victim.

Wicomico County State's Attorney (SA) Jamie L. Dykes commented, "Those who deal in illegal firearms pose a significant threat to the citizens of Wicomico County. My office will work tirelessly with our law enforcement partners to prosecute those who chose to engage in such activity."

SA Dykes commended the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and lead investigator Detective Chaffey for the investigation. Lead prosecutor Senior Assistant State's Attorney Lauren Bourdon was also recognized for her skill and professionalism in litigating the matter.
